A device monitor can help distinguish the controller’s physical trigger reading from the processed output. Record which one you are looking at. Seeing full output does not establish that a separate handler reading raw input saw the same value.
Do not combine unrelated changes
Keep controller trigger-stop settings, remaps, and game settings recorded. If any changed during an update, test them separately. Changing the physical trigger range and the Rift toggle at once makes it hard to identify what caused the new feel.
Report the exact combination
Name the feature you expected to activate and the trigger depth used, not just instant triggers broken. The supplied gameplay order and raw-input checks matter. This page describes a verification procedure; it does not claim a newly released firmware or platform has been tested.
