Record the original value, make an intentional change, and close through the normal save route. Reopen the menu before reconnecting. If the value is already wrong, investigate the menu or build selection first rather than blaming reconnection.
Verify identity after reconnecting
Read the active Zen slot, Rift display, and build. Compare the same field under the same mode. For Auto Green MS, BUTTON and RHYTHM have separate stored values, so mode switching can explain a number changing without any lost save.
Preserve evidence before recovery
