The short answer
Check Dribble Mode before treating missing D-pad camera input as an update defect. Rift reserves D-pad directions for its active dribble mode under specific conditions.
Rift — our #1 2K27 Cronus Zen script.
Rift gives you both automatic dribbles and a custom direction map in one script.
Compare Rift with other 2K27 scripts →Distinguish OFF from an empty direction
A CUSTOM direction set to OFF is not the same as Dribble Mode set to OFF. When the mode is active, the supplied code can consume D-pad input even if that selected direction does not launch a move. Compare the main mode and the direction entry separately.
Check the left-trigger condition
The source has a left-trigger exception for ordinary D-pad blocking, but running dribble combos still block the directions. Test from a clean idle state, not halfway through a combo. Keep the menu closed, since menu navigation also deliberately consumes gameplay inputs.
Write a useful after-update note
Record the mode, custom direction, trigger state, and whether a combo was running. If turning Dribble Mode OFF restores normal D-pad behavior, that helps identify the control reservation. It is not evidence that every camera issue has the same cause.

Common questions
Why can an OFF direction still consume input?
The overall active mode controls D-pad reservation.
Is a menu-open check useful for gameplay?
No. Close the menu before checking normal controls.
