Open the active build’s Custom Dribble editor and compare all four directions with your saved map. CUSTOM being selected does not mean each direction contains a move.

The supplied file separates up/down choices from left/right choices. Vertical choices include OFF, BTB SPAM, CURRY, and DBOOK; horizontal choices include OFF, B BREAK, ESCAPE, and MOMENTUM. Record direction plus move name instead of a vague note such as custom dribbles on.
Save the map deliberately
Use Circle/B to save and exit the custom editor, then finish through the main menu’s save route. Reopen the editor to verify the map. If you changed builds, check the active build again rather than copying values over the wrong saved setup.
Test controls before judging animations
Run one direction without shooting, sprint combinations, or another dribble already active. Compare the input behavior first. A game animation can depend on your build and equipped moves, so a different animation alone does not show that the direction assignment disappeared.
